Tell them, As I live, says the Lord, what you have said in My hearing I will do to you. (AMP)
Now give them this answer: ‘I swear that as surely as I live, I will do to you just what you have asked. I, the LORD, have spoken.
(Numbers 14:28, GNB)

[dropcap]W[/dropcap]e have been created to be like God and to exhibit His nature and this means that we function like Him. He spoke things into existence, because He has a creative tongue. Your tongue also is capable of bring into being what you speak. That’s why the Bible says the power of life and death is in the tongue. If your tongue speaks life, then you shall live but if it speaks death so shall you perish. The Bible also states it clear that you shall eat the fruits of your tongue. It all depends on you to determine what kind of fruits you want to see from your tongue. It is of vital importance that you, as a born again child of God should learn to tame your tongue. Let everything that comes out of your lips be positive and life giving and shun negative speaking and dirty jokes. But what you speak always has its roots on what you feed your heart with. Because the Bible says out of the fullness of the heart the mouth speaks. But before it comes to your heart it begins in your thoughts. That’s why the Bible says let the meditations of my heart be acceptable. So, positive meditation leads to positive issues from the heart, which in turn leads to positive speech and eventually a fulfilling positive life. If you have carefully guarded these factors, then a positive life becomes inevitable. You are the prophet of your own life; whatever you confess through your mouth about yourself so shall it be to you. In the realm of the spirit it is like there are angels who are always on guard to act upon whatever they hear you say, be it positive or negative – hence God Himself says in Numbers 14:28 as I live I will do everything that I’ve heard you say. You are a product of your tongue and as long as you live you shall eat the fruits of your tongue therefore tame your tongue and let it be subject to you. Do not allow your tongue to confess what you see but teach it to confess what you want to see. Don’t dare confess the death of your situation but rather speak life to the dead situation and it will come to life for you are a god created in the image of the only true God.
