Though God has overlooked those times of ignorance, he now commands everyone everywhere to repent,
(Acts 17:30, ISV)
At the end of the year 2010, when we were just at the verge of crossing over into 2011 as I was praying in preparation for the new year, the Holy Spirit told me that one of the weapons the devil has prepared for the human race especially Christians is ignorance. An ignorant person can do very little, close to nothing at all. The enemy wants to torment the church in the areas where they are ignorant. If as a Christian you are ignorant of the healing power of the stripes of Jesus then you remain sick. If you are ignorant of the authority you have as a believer, then you shall be tossed to and fro by every spiritual wickedness. You can go as far as you know because your ignorance will create boundaries for you.
“Nothing weakens a man like ignorance; you can’t be stronger than what you know. And how much you know determines how much freedom you have.” In areas where you are ignorant, you remain in bondage. You can’t be free when you are ignorant. It is your own ignorance that captivates you not the devil. The devil wouldn’t have taken you captive if you had known the authority that you have over him. Another strategy that the devil has prepared to use in conjunction with ignorance is knowledge that is not applied. If he sees that you are an inquisitive person, one who likes to know and keeps asking questions that will give you a bit of knowledge here and there he doesn’t bother you much. But what he does is to try all means possible to stop and hinder you from effecting what you know. Knowledge that is not applied is as good as ignorance because it is of no use to the one who has it. Sometimes when you determine to stand up and act on what you know, you feel there is always a next time and you begin to procrastinate. The moment you do this just know that you have given in to the tactics of the devil and he has successfully stopped you from making what you know to work for you.
